A suspected Chinese spy drone incident at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico has raised fresh questions about U.S. military security and foreign surveillance. According to CNN reporting, a quadcopter repeatedly entered restricted airspace around the sensitive U.S. missile testing facility in spring 2025. U.S. authorities tracked the drone for several days before reportedly using electronic warfare technology to force it to land. The incident also involved Chinese nationals who were reportedly monitored near the missile range. U.S. officials believed the individuals were connected to the drone operation and had possible links to Chinese intelligence. China has denied the allegations, calling them “baseless speculation.” The incident comes after another unidentified drone was spotted over White Sands in 2024, highlighting growing concerns over drone incursions around sensitive U.S. military installations.
