Iran claims it has shot down a third U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drone in 48 hours over the Strait of Hormuz, escalating an already intense confrontation between Washington and Tehran. Iranian state-linked media says the IRGC used its integrated air-defense network and a new advanced system to destroy the unmanned aircraft. The United States has not independently confirmed the latest claim. The reported drone losses come as U.S. and Iranian forces exchange strikes across the region and commercial traffic through the Strait of Hormuz remains sharply below normal levels. The waterway is a crucial global oil route, making any further military escalation a major risk for energy markets, shipping and the wider Middle East. #iran #usa #usiranwar #mq9 #reaper #drone #hormuz #straitofhormuz #iranwar #trump #irgc #airdefense #military #war #oil #middleeast #geopolitics #breakingnews #timesnowworld Stay connected with Times Now World for real-time global news and analysis: 🌐 Read full coverage: https:
