NCDEX has launched RAINCHNNAI, India’s second rainfall-based weather derivatives contract, after RAINMUMBAI. Launched on August 31, the contract covers Chennai’s September-December rainfall and is designed to help businesses hedge financial risks linked to the Northeast Monsoon. Developed with IIT Bombay and based on IMD data, it tracks deviations from a 50-year rainfall average. The cash-settled contract allows participants to manage exposure to unusually high or low rainfall, extending weather-risk management across India’s monsoon cycle. #ncdex #rainchnnai #rainfallfutures Important Playlists National News: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLK5e1a2965YXb9Oh62yur4MRCdRLL6gCt Business News: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLK5e1a2965YVXM88oXiuA1JMLZtODGP1y World News: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLK5e1a2965YW0Swy6-R3i50F5FbtDRiEe BS Decoded: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLK5e1a2965YWYuC7DEL8Lxl-rhiElowEE Want access to Business Standard’s premium in
