U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said that Washington and Beijing have “more in common than differences” over Iran. Speaking to the media during the G20 meeting in Asheville, North Carolina, Bessent said the U.S. and China had held “quiet conversations” on the issue. His remarks came as the U.S. launched a barrage of airstrikes on Iran, triggering Iranian retaliation and marking the most serious escalation in weeks. The conflict has also driven global energy prices higher and added pressure on President Donald Trump at home. --- Scott Bessent | G20 | U.S. | Iran | Donald Trump | Xi Jinping | Asheville | West Asia Conflict | China | Firstpost #scottbessent #g20 #us #iran #donaldtrump #xijinping #asheville #westasiaconflict #china #firstpost Firstpost is an Indian news and media website.
