A brand-new EMT was driving back to base with his partner when he looked up... and says he saw a face in the rearview mirror. There was nobody in the back. In this video, we react to the viral footage that's going around right now — the two of them pull over, creeped out, and start recording. Then comes a loud bang from the back of the ambulance. He drops his phone in a panic. And when he finally works up the courage to go back for the keys, the back door flies open on its own. What exactly happened in that ambulance? Was this a stressed rookie's mind playing tricks after long shifts around trauma and death? A prank? A hoax built for views? Or did these two first responders encounter something that rides closer to the dying than any of us want to admit? First responders — EMTs, paramedics, nurses, firefighters — are around death more than almost anyone. And for years they have quietly told the same kinds of stories: figures in empty rigs, voices in empty rooms, patients who speak
