UP is battling a worsening flood situation as the Ganga and Yamuna continue to rise across eastern Uttar Pradesh. In Mirzapur, floodwaters have entered homes and inundated streets, while several ghats in Prayagraj have been submerged as the Ganga and Yamuna swell. In Varanasi, the Ganga has crossed the warning mark, prompting authorities to suspend boat operations and intensify monitoring of vulnerable areas. According to the state government, 23 districts are currently affected, with more than 16,700 people evacuated so far. Three people have died in rain-related incidents. Authorities have deployed 1,499 boats and motorboats, 1,067 medical teams and more than 1,300 flood shelters as rescue and relief operations continue. Residents in low-lying areas have been advised to remain alert and move to safer locations as authorities closely monitor river levels. #UPFloods #Ganga #Yamuna #Varanasi #Prayagraj #Mirzapur Thank you for watching our video!
