Sometimes life throws you a curveball...even in gaming. I had a clear idea of where my retro gaming setup was heading, until my good friend Julian messaged me to say he’d ended up with two identical consoles and kindly offered me one. It was the last system I ever expected to add to my collection, but that’s exactly why I said yes. Time to mix things up. An Xbox One. Not retro, not small (it’s basically a VCR!), and definitely not the model most people would choose for their first Xbox experience, but that’s what makes it fun. In this video, I walk you through the entire process of adding yet another console to my setup: cleaning, rearranging shelves, solving unexpected problems, and tackling the dreaded cable management. A huge thank you to my friend Julian for giving me the chance to try something totally outside my comfort zone. I’m still a retro gamer at heart, but I’m excited to finally explore some Xbox exclusives I’ve missed over the years: Halo, Gears of War, and more.
