Uber has officially launched its driverless taxis to the public in London, and is the second city in Europe to do so after Zagreb. It's part of a new trial from Uber and Wayve — you order like any normal ride, then get a notification saying you've been matched with a self-driving car. For now, a safety supervisor is still on board, but the car drives itself. As for the car in the video that got stuck, Wayve responded saying that because there was gridlocked traffic, it took the decision to manually take control. A spokesperson said, "This is exactly the role of the driver in these initial supervised trials, to ensure safety and a seamless journey". #uber #driverlesstaxi #taxi #london #news • Subscribe to ITV News on YouTube: http://bit.ly/2lOHmNj • Get breaking news and more stories at http://www.itv.com/news Follow ITV News on TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@itvnews?lang=en Follow ITV News on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/itvnews/ Follow ITV News on Facebook: https://www.fac
