We’re thrilled to finally announce that METRO 2039 is set to launch on all platforms on February 4th 2027!* In addition, we can confirm that a 60FPS Performance Mode with ray tracing support will be available at launch for the Xbox Series X™, PlayStation® 5 and PlayStation® 5 Pro consoles. We’ll be sharing much more about the technology, specs and different modes powering all editions of METRO 2039 in the months between now and release. In the meantime, we’ve just released the very first console gameplay footage of METRO 2039. Featured as part of Sony’s State of Play showcase, all footage in the trailer below was captured on the PlayStation® 5 Pro at 60FPS in Performance Mode. (* Available February 5th in some territories including Asia, Australia & New Zealand.)
