Pura Vida Bodysurfing is an immersive action documentary that celebrates surfing in its purest, most instinctive form—riding powerful Costa Rican waves using nothing but your body. Produced by Spencer Dunlap and featuring Costa Rican bodysurfer Pablo Solano alongside members of the Bodysurf Collective, the film travels across both coastlines in search of perfect waves and authentic ocean culture. Follow the crew as they score iconic breaks including Roca Bruja (Witch’s Rock), Playa Grande, Playa Hermosa, Dominical, Pavones, and Salsa Brava. With a mix of in-water shots, drone footage, and on-the-road moments, Pura Vida Bodysurfing captures the warmth, rhythm, and spirit of Costa Rica’s Pura Vida lifestyle. Set to original music by Sami Freeman and tracks from beloved Costa Rican artists Abedúl, Cocofunka, Magpie Jay, and Patterns, the film paints an intimate portrait of the people who live and breathe wave-riding. 🏆 Audience Choice Award – Costa Rica Surf Film Festival 2025 #body
