Pattaya is bracing for a major influx of U.S. military personnel as around 5,000 sailors and Marines arrive in Thailand aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln and two other U.S. Navy vessels. With the crew finally getting shore leave after more than 200 days at sea, Thai authorities are intensifying raids and nightlife patrols across Pattaya amid fears of a surge in prostitution and other illegal activity. At the same time, local businesses are expecting a short-term economic boost as thousands of sailors spend money on hotels, restaurants, bars and shops. The arrival also highlights concerns over crew morale following one of the U.S. aircraft carrier's longest deployments in recent history. #USSAbrahamLincoln #USNavyThailand #USSailorsThailand #PattayaThailand #PattayaPolice #PattayaRaids #ThailandNews #USNavy #USMilitaryThailand #PattayaNightlife #ThailandSexTrade #PattayaPoliceRaid #USWarshipsThailand #WarshipsThailand #USSailorsPattaya #PattayaNews #ThailandPolice #AbrahamLincolnCarri
