In mapping and analyzing issues at work that impact media workers' mental health and well-being, a paradoxical conclusion emerges: what makes media work special is also what can make its people sick. Drawing on his research Mark Deuze explores the challenges of living a good life in media. Mark Deuze is Professor of Media Studies at the University of Amsterdam, author of 14 books (including "Life in Media" with The MIT Press), and bass player of the band Skinflower. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
