Norway has seized the Russian-owned vessel Professor Molchanov in the Arctic over a $4.2 billion compensation claim awarded to Ukraine’s Naftogaz. The legal battle stems from Russia’s seizure of Naftogaz assets following the 2014 annexation of Crimea. A tribunal in The Hague ordered Moscow to pay billions in compensation, but Russia has refused to comply and is challenging the process. Norwegian authorities detained the vessel near Svalbard after a court approved its arrest. Moscow has condemned the move as “piracy.” Naftogaz says it will continue pursuing Russian assets across multiple countries until the compensation is paid. #Russia #Ukraine #Norway #Naftogaz #ProfessorMolchanov #Arctic #Svalbard #Putin #RussiaUkraineWar #Crimea #BreakingNews #WorldNews #Geopolitics Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling English Daily In The World.
