Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has accused the United States of taking an “our way or the highway” approach during trade negotiations with Canada. Carney said Washington had pushed several red-line demands right up until the final hour, including issues involving Canadian language and culture. Carney welcomed the removal of those demands from the proposed deal, while stressing that language and cultural protections are “fundamental” to Canada’s identity. His remarks come amid tense US-Canada trade negotiations and an escalating tariff dispute between Ottawa and Washington. #markcarney #canada #donaldtrump #uscanada #trumptariffs #canadaus #tradewar #canadatariffs #trump #canadianpolitics #uspolitics #tradedeal #carney #canadanews Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling English Daily In The World.
