Kemi Badenoch has pledged to raise UK defence spending to 3% of GDP by 2030, promising an extra £10billion for the Armed Forces by cutting welfare spending. The Conservative leader says savings would come from housing benefit reforms, restoring the two-child benefit cap and other measures. The plan puts further pressure on Andy Burnham and Chancellor John Healey to fund the defence target. Peter Cardwell is joined by Tom Skinner, a former Conservative Party Special Adviser, to discuss this. #kemibadenoch #andyburnham #defence Have you got a story?
