Rep. Brandon Gill held a birth tourism hearing exposing a facility in Florida called ‘Have My Baby in Miami’ that marketed its maternity services to foreign expectant mothers and allegedly participated in a birth tourism scheme. Dr. Wladimir Lorentz, founder of Have My Baby in Miami, invoked the Fifth Amendment during the hearing and said “a truthful answer could incriminate” him.
