Learn how to discuss sports you like to watch and play in this ASL lesson for high school learners! Students review the signs WATCH and PLAY and learn how to use shoulder shifting to compare two ideas, such as WATCH vs. PLAY. They practice asking and answering preference questions like "YOU FOOTBALL WATCH PLAY YOU LIKE WHICH?" and learn real conversation phrases including "FOOTBALL WATCH LIKE," "BASEBALL PLAY LIKE," and "SOCCER WATCH/PLAY BOTH LIKE." The actors model natural ASL so students can join the conversation and build confidence discussing sports with Deaf peers. This lesson is part of MiaPrepβs American Sign Language 1 course.
