On September 2, 2026, the USS Abraham Lincoln pulled into Laem Chabang port in Thailand after 286 days away from San Diego. The nearly 320-metre nuclear-powered carrier was streaked with rust from end-to-end. Observers were shocked by its appearance. Experts say the rust itself is normal for a ship that has been at sea that long. What is not normal is the deployment. The Lincoln was sent out for seven months, redirected to West Asia in January, thrown into combat and blockade operations against Iran, and then extended twice with no return date. Before Thailand, it went 264 straight days without a full port call. Here is what the before and after images actually show. --- USS Abraham Lincoln | Abraham Lincoln Aircraft Carrier | US Navy Aircraft Carrier | USS Lincoln Thailand | 286 Days At Sea | US Navy Iran War | Rusty Aircraft Carrier | US Carrier Deployment | Iran War US Navy | US Military News | Firstpost #ussabrahamlincoln #abrahamlincoln #usnavy #aircraftcarrier #iranwar #us
