WARNING: This story contains distressing details and discussion of attempted suicide. The judge in the Lindsay Clancy child murder case has declared a mistrial after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict on their seventh day of deliberations. He told the court he intended to declare a mistrial, but had given Clancy's lawyers one hour to appeal before he makes a final decision. However, after listening to arguments, he decided to deny an appeal. Judge William Sullivan then went on to declare a mistrial, describing the jury as "deadlocked" and discharged all the jurors. Clancy strangled her children, Cora, five, Dawson, three, and eight-month-old Callan Clancy, with exercise bands in their home's basement, then jumped from a second-floor window, leaving her paralysed from the waist down. • Subscribe to ITV News on YouTube: http://bit.ly/2lOHmNj • Get breaking news and more stories at http://www.itv.com/news Follow ITV News on TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@itvnews?lang=en F
