At least two people were killed and dozens injured on Friday, Sept. 4, after an explosion at a military barracks in Viacha, Bolivia, about 20 miles from La Paz. Fourteen people were reported missing, according to the Defense Ministry. The blast occurred in an area used to store pyrotechnic materials. The cause remains under investigation, but officials said the explosion originated from the defense ministry’s fireworks stockpile.
