Audio recordings of a Russian married couple accused of spying on Australia have been published by Kremlin-controlled media. Kira and Igor Korolev have purportedly spoken from prison multiple times since their dramatic arrest two years ago, but it's never been reported outside of Russia. The couple is charged with espionage offences that carry a maximum penalty of life imprisonment if found guilty. An ABC investigation into the former army private and her husband has also uncovered fresh details about their past in Russia.
