U.S. special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have held more than three hours of high-stakes talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin in Moscow, presenting a new diplomatic proposal from President Donald Trump aimed at ending the war in Ukraine. The meeting, described by Kremlin foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov as constructive and extremely frank, focused on potential routes to a settlement and future economic cooperation. To facilitate the diplomatic mission, President Putin ordered a 72-hour suspension of Russian military strikes on the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reciprocated by pausing strikes on Moscow. Following the Kremlin discussions, the American delegation is scheduled to travel to Kyiv on Sunday to present the proposals to Ukrainian leadership and brief President Zelenskyy on the next steps. #live #trumppeaceplan #putinwitkoffmeeting #jaredkushner #stevewitkoff #russiaukrainewar #kremlintalks #ukrainepeac
