Typhoon Saudel has triggered severe flooding across China's Fujian Province, with Putian among the hardest-hit areas after record rainfall caused the Mulan River to overflow and a dike to breach. More than 599,300 people were evacuated from dangerous areas across Fujian, while more than 100 homes collapsed and some residents remained missing. Footage shows rescuers using motorboats to reach stranded residents as submerged streets, damaged homes, debris and vehicles highlight the scale of the flooding. Authorities suspended schools and public transport and deployed rescue teams across affected communities. Saudel made its third landfall in China on September 3 before weakening, but torrential rain continued to fuel flooding in Fujian. Neighboring Jiangxi also reported a mudslide that killed one person and left 11 missing. #typhoonsaudel #chinafloods #fujianfloods #putian #china #flooding #flood #tropicalstorm #extremeweather #severeweather #naturaldisaster #flooddisaster #chinastorm #
