Hundreds of masked “Stop The Boats” protesters brought roads around the Port of Dover to a standstill after blocking access to Britain's busiest ferry port. The black-clad demonstrators caused major disruption for holidaymakers, freight traffic and local residents before the roads were eventually cleared. No arrests were made, while the protest was condemned by politicians including Nigel Farage and Dover MP Mike Tapp. The demonstration has intensified the debate over immigration, public anger and whether Britain could see more disruptive protests over the issue.
