Martin Luther King Jr. is remembered around the world as the man who dreamed of equality. But was that the whole story? Beyond the famous speeches stood a far more radical figure who challenged unjust laws, racial segregation, poverty, economic exploitation and American militarism. From Montgomery and Birmingham to his fierce opposition to the Vietnam War, 'The Revolutionary' on the Firstpost dissects how King repeatedly confronted institutions that claimed to uphold justice while denying it to millions. He was surveilled by the FBI, abandoned by political allies and ultimately assassinated while supporting striking sanitation workers in Memphis. More than half a century later, King’s victories remain undeniable—but so do the questions he left behind. --- Martin Luther King Jr. | MLK | The Revolutionary | Civil Rights Movement | American Civil Rights | Racial Segregation | Vietnam War | MLK Vietnam War | Economic Inequality | FBI Surveillance | Memphis Sanitation Strike | Firstpost
