Germany's far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) was projected to take a commanding lead in Saxony-Anhalt's state election on Sunday, with the party's lead candidate Ulrich Siegmund calling for closer relations with the United States, Russia and China and an end to sanctions on Moscow.
