U.S. President Donald Trump suggested renaming the Strait of Hormuz as “Trump Strait” in a post on Truth Social, as the strategically important waterway remains at the center of tensions amid the Iran war. Trump claimed the strait was under U.S. control and asked whether its name should be changed. The proposal comes shortly after Trump floated renaming Lake Ontario as “Lake America” during escalating trade tensions with Canada. The Strait of Hormuz is a crucial global energy shipping route, making any developments around the waterway closely watched amid the conflict with Iran. Trump’s latest proposal adds another controversial geographical name-change debate to U.S. politics. #trumplive #trumplatestnews #trumpiranwarupdates #hormuzupdates #usattacktoday #usnewslive #worldnewslive #toilive Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling English Daily In The World.
