Trump has sparked another political controversy after sharing an altered map of New Mexico on Truth Social, crossing out the word “Mexico” and replacing it with “America” to create the label “New America.” The post comes amid a viral false claim that Trump had already signed an executive order renaming the state—a claim that was debunked as originating from a satirical social media account. Democratic lawmakers from New Mexico have strongly condemned the post, arguing that the state’s name reflects generations of history, culture and identity. The controversy also comes after Trump’s efforts involving the “Gulf of America” and “Lake America,” raising fresh questions over whether his geographic renaming push is serious policy, political messaging, or simply a provocation. #Trump #NewMexico #NewAmerica #TrumpNewMexico #TrumpMap #NewMexicoControversy #TrumpTruthSocial #TrumpRenaming #NewMexicoNews #TrumpBacklash #USPolitics #TrumpNews #NewMexicoPolitics #GulfOfAmerica #LakeAmerica #Tru
