Iran has issued a fresh warning to Washington, claiming it tested the Qasem Basir anti-ship missile against a US warship. Tehran is also threatening a new 'prohibited zone' around the Strait of Hormuz, with ships entering the area potentially facing Iranian sanctions. The warning follows a major maritime escalation, with Iran and the US trading claims of attacks on warships and tankers. Shipping through Hormuz has already fallen sharply, raising concerns for global energy supplies. In Firstpost Live video, we tell you about Iran's claim that the era of 'proportionate' retaliation is over, while Washington insists pressure will continue until Tehran stops attacks on commercial shipping and changes its course.
