Jamaica is preparing to submit a petition to King Charles seeking a formal legal assessment of Britain’s role in slavery and whether reparations are owed. Meanwhile, the British Museum is expected to hold talks with Jamaican representatives about the possible return of cultural artefacts removed during the colonial era. The developments form part of Jamaica’s wider campaign for reparatory justice and the return of its cultural heritage. Julia Hartley-Brewer is joined by Rafe Heydel-Mankoo, Senior Fellow at the New Culture Forum, to discuss this. #reparations #colonialism #kingcharles Have you got a story?
