European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen arrived in Greenland with what she described as a “substantial package” aimed at deepening the European Union’s partnership with the strategically important Arctic territory. The visit comes as U.S. President Donald Trump continues to argue that Greenland is vital to U.S. national security and pushes for Washington to acquire the island. Von der Leyen met Greenland Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in Nuuk, where the leaders highlighted closer EU-Greenland cooperation. A joint declaration is expected as Brussels seeks to strengthen its Arctic presence amid growing geopolitical competition over Greenland. #greenland #trump #ursulavonderleyen #eu #europeanunion #denmark #arctic #nuuk #geopolitics #arcticsecurity #uspolitics #trumpnews #greenlandnews #eupolitics #worldnews #breakingnews Stay connected with Times Now World for real-time global news and analysis: 🌐 Read full coverage: https:
