Iran just released footage claiming ballistic missile strikes on a US aircraft carrier and destroyer. The IRGC says the ships were hit and forced to withdraw. Here’s what we know. What You Need to Know Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) released video it claims shows missile strikes on a US aircraft carrier and a destroyer in the region. The IRGC stated the vessels were targeted for participating in a naval blockade and claimed both sustained damage and withdrew. US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed Iranian ballistic missiles were launched toward the two warships but stated both successfully evaded the attacks with no damage or casualties. The incident occurred amid heightened tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, with the US also reporting strikes on Iranian oil tankers. Claims of direct hits remain unverified and are disputed by the US side. The exchange marks a significant escalation in the ongoing US-Iran maritime confrontation.
