Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has accused the West of trying to erase the history of colonialism while defending Russia’s approach to other nations. Speaking at MGIMO University in Moscow, Lavrov claimed Western powers spent centuries imposing their will, exploiting resources and committing atrocities, while arguing that African nations still face Western economic and political pressure despite decolonisation. Lavrov’s remarks come as Russia continues to challenge the West over global influence, sovereignty and the future of international relations. With tensions between Russia, NATO and European powers remaining high, his comments are likely to fuel the wider debate over colonialism, Western influence and the emerging multipolar world order. Watch the full report for Lavrov’s latest remarks and what they mean for Russia-West relations, Europe, Africa and NATO. #russia #lavrov #sergeilavrov #putin #nato #europe #west #colonialism #africa #geopolitics #russiaukraine #russiaw
