Australia’s housing problem isn’t simply that we’re not approving enough homes. We already have an enormous pipeline of approved housing that STILL isn’t being built. That’s what makes this so frustrating. We can announce bigger housing targets, approve more developments and rezone more land, but none of it solves the shortage if projects remain financially unviable, infrastructure isn’t ready and construction never actually begins. An approval isn’t a home. And with Australia already falling behind its housing target, every stalled project puts even more pressure on buyers, renters and the homes that already exist. Do you think Australia’s housing crisis is now more about our inability to actually BUILD than our ability to approve? Let me know in the comments. 👉
