Houthi-Saudi tit-for-tat strikes are raising the stakes in an already volatile conflict. Saudi Arabia faces a fresh barrage of missile and drone attacks from Yemen-based Houthis, reportedly targeting civilian areas, military positions and economic hubs. Abha International Airport, King Khalid Air Base and Saudi Aramco’s Jizan refinery are among the locations affected. The escalation follows Houthi allegations of Saudi airstrikes inside Yemen, including a reported prison strike in Al-Jawf. Fighting is also intensifying near the strategic Bab El-Mandab Strait, putting energy infrastructure and vital shipping routes further at risk.
