Hungary has ordered ten members of Russia’s diplomatic mission to leave the country over activities Budapest says were incompatible with their status under the Vienna Convention. The government has not revealed what the diplomats allegedly did or released public evidence of espionage or intelligence gathering. Moscow has promised retaliation but has not disclosed what measures it will take. The expulsions mark a sharp reversal from Viktor Orbán’s 16-year rule, during which Hungary maintained close relations with Russia and repeatedly obstructed EU action against Moscow. Prime Minister Peter Magyar now says Hungary’s principal alliances lie with NATO and the European Union. #Hungary #Russia #Putin #PeterMagyar #ViktorOrban #EuropeanUnion #NATO #Budapest #Diplomacy #Moscow Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling English Daily In The World.
