In 1995, Sierra Leone was being torn apart by a brutal civil war. The Revolutionary United Front had seized valuable diamond-producing territory and was advancing toward the capital. With government forces struggling to stop them, Sierra Leone turned to an unusual solution: a private military company called Executive Outcomes.
