The UK, Canada, France and nine other countries have announced measures targeting trade linked to Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband said Britain would “stand up for what is right,” as international pressure grows over settler violence against Palestinians. Israel strongly opposes the measures and has rejected mounting foreign criticism. The action comes ahead of Israel’s October 27 election, adding a major political dimension to the dispute. The sanctions mark a significant escalation in Western pressure over settlement activity and violence. #UK #Israel #Gaza #WestBank #EdMiliband #Netanyahu #Palestine #Sanctions #Settlements #Canada #France #MiddleEast #IsraelPolitics #Geopolitics #WorldNews #oneindianews #oneindiaenglish #breakingnews #worldnews #englishnewslive #englishnews #latestnews #news ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- News that speaks your languag
