Twiggy eats chips, banana sandwiches with sugar, and a great deal of chocolate. This last detail is relevant. At Brighton Station, on the way back from a meeting with Ken Russell, she got her ring stuck in a chocolate vending machine. She was trapped for 35 minutes. They tried keys. They tried an extra shilling. A small lady suggested soap. In the end it took a crowbar. She missed the train. On the slow train home, she still had the chocolate. In this conversation with Michael Parkinson, she also talks about growing up in a working class home buying Vogue with her pocket money, being called Oxfam by the boys at school, and being told by the first person she ever approached that she would never make a model. She was too small and too thin. Legendary talk show host Sir Michael Parkinson's official YouTube channel.
