A suspected Iranian nuclear site buried under granite has seen a flurry of construction work this year as the war with the US has transpired, according to a group of analysts who reviewed six years of satellite imagery. The Pickaxe Mountain site, located near the Natanz nuclear complex roughly 140 miles south of Tehran, has been the subject of steady discussion by intelligence agencies which view it as a likely location for Iran to protect future nuclear program efforts. Also, late Tuesday, the US military struck five Iranian tankers, sinking one, after Iran fired ballistic missiles at a US Navy warship. Iran retaliated by firing a barrage of missiles toward regional US ally Jordan. The barrage was ineffective in face of integrated air and missile defenses, a US official told CNN. 0:00 "Pickaxe Mountain" site has seen a flurry of construction: Analysts 1:19 CNN global affairs analyst Sabrina Singh unpacks report on Pickaxe Mountain activity 3:13 What Trump said about Pickaxe Mountai
