A routine airport check-in became a moment that would haunt airline worker Michael Tuohey for decades. On the morning of September 11, 2001, Tuohey helped check in Mohamed Atta and Abdul Aziz al-Omari, two of the hijackers who later boarded American Airlines Flight 11. Tuohey recalls the brief encounter, including Atta insisting on a “one-step check in.” Hours later, he watched the unfolding attacks on television and realized the men he had helped were among the hijackers. Years later, Tuohey says memories of that morning affected his life deeply. He now reflects on the encounter, his instincts, and what might have been different. #911 #September11 #911Attacks #MohamedAtta #AbdulAzizAlOmari #AmericanAirlines #Flight11 #Terrorism #USHistory #911Anniversary #AirportSecurity #BreakingNews #WorldNews Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling English Daily In The World.
