UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham faced a fierce Commons clash with opposition leader Kemi Badenoch on Wednesday as he defended Britain’s sanctions on goods from Israeli settlements in the West Bank. Burnham said Britain “has to stand for something” and argued that leadership requires action against injustice, while Badenoch accused the government of failing to adequately fund defence and projecting weakness as threats to British interests grow. The two also clashed over NATO spending, the Falkland Islands, the Chagos Islands, Ukraine and Britain’s wider foreign policy. Burnham said the UK would honour its NATO commitment to reach 3.5% defence spending by 2035. #uk #britain #andyburnham #kemiBadenoch #ukpolitics #britishpolitics #israel #westbank #israelpalestine #palestine #israelsettlements #ukparliament #commons #defence #nato #falklands #chagosislands #ukraine #starmer #geopolitics Stay connected with Times Now World for real-time global news and analysis: 🌐 Read full coverage: htt
