Norway has assisted 69 Russian citizens in returning home after a Norwegian court ordered the seizure of the Russian vessel Professor Molchanov in Svalbard. The ship was detained at the request of Ukraine’s state energy company Naftogaz, which is seeking to enforce a $4.22 billion compensation award linked to Russian seizures of Ukrainian assets following the 2014 annexation of Crimea. Moscow has accused Norway, a NATO member, of “piracy” and summoned its ambassador in protest, while Russia says it plans to appeal the ruling. The vessel remains held in Barentsburg, highlighting growing legal and diplomatic tensions between Russia, Ukraine and NATO in the strategically sensitive Arctic. #russia #norway #ukraine #nato #arctic #svalbard #moscow #putin #naftogaz #russianship #professormolchanov #geopolitics #russiaukrainewar #arcticcrisis #natoandrussia #norwayrussia #breakingnews #worldnews #ukrainewar #timesnowworld Stay connected with Times Now World for real-time global news and an
