Britain will contribute £100 million to the Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) to accelerate the delivery of air-defence interceptors to Ukraine ahead of winter, Defence Secretary Wes Streeting said. Streeting said Ukraine needs 300 Patriot missiles from partners’ stocks, 500 air-to-air interceptors and $2 billion for additional drones. Britain has delivered more than 25,000 drones toward a commitment of 120,000 this year. U.S. Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Elbridge Colby warned that Washington cannot predict when the war will end and said Russia is rebuilding its forces and defence-industrial capacity, urging allies to prepare for a protracted conflict. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said allies had allocated $10 billion through PURL and U.S. foreign military sales over the past year, including $3.5 billion from the Ukraine support loan. #ukraine, #russia, #ukrainewar, #russiaukrainewar, #patriotmissiles, #patriot, #ukraineairdefence, #airdefence, #uk, #britain, #n
