Russia says nearly all passengers and crew aboard the seized Professor Molchanov have returned home after Norwegian authorities provided logistical support. However, Moscow has accused Oslo of using the vessel seizure to weaken Russia’s presence on the Svalbard archipelago and vowed to appeal the court decision. The dispute centres on the 1920 Svalbard Treaty and a legal claim brought by Ukrainian energy company Naftogaz over compensation linked to Russia’s annexation of Crimea. #Russia #Norway #Svalbard #Arctic #ProfessorMolchanov #MariaZakharova #Naftogaz #Barentsburg #Spitsbergen #ArcticCrisis #BreakingNews #WorldNews #RussiaNorway #Geopolitics #Crimea Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling English Daily In The World.
