Hundreds of people lined the street at the funeral of a police officer who was killed in a crash. Standard bearers represented every UK force at the service for PC Matthew Blades, 37, at St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in his home town of Hartlepool. He was killed with his colleague Pc Tom Clough, 38, in a collision at South Bank, near Middlesbrough, in which five young men also died, on 22 August. Outside the church, officers lined the length of Hutton Avenue, wearing identity patches “PC 3234 BLADES” and “PC 3234 CLOUGH” on their uniforms. • Subscribe to ITV News on YouTube: http://bit.ly/2lOHmNj • Get breaking news and more stories at http://www.itv.com/news Follow ITV News on TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@itvnews?lang=en Follow ITV News on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/itvnews/ Follow ITV News on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/itvnews/ Follow ITV News on X: https://twitter.com/itvnews
