Yemen’s war is entering a dangerous new phase as Houthi forces reportedly capture Mokha and push closer to the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait. The reported advance includes the capture of Hays and the Khalid ibn al-Walid military camp, forcing forces loyal to Tariq Saleh to retreat along Yemen’s Red Sea coast. Mokha’s reported fall could have major strategic consequences. Located near one of the world’s most important maritime chokepoints, the city’s capture would bring Houthi-controlled territory significantly closer to the Red Sea shipping corridor connecting global trade routes. With Houthi missiles and drones already threatening commercial shipping, the reported territorial advance could raise fresh concerns over Red Sea security, international trade and regional escalation. However, these remain developing reports, and the exact situation on the ground still requires independent confirmation. #Houthis #HouthiForces #Mokha #YemenWar #YemenConflict #BabAlMandab #RedSea #RedSea
