More than 400 former Kenya Air Force members who served during the 1982 coup attempt have joined Safina Party leader Jimmy Wanjigi in demanding the arrest of Defence PS Patrick Mwariru over alleged disobedience of a court order directing the government to compensate them. The former military personnel were set to receive up to Sh9 billion after being cleared of wrongdoing. The veterans accuse the Ruto administration of ignoring court orders and leaving them to languish in poverty, with some having since died.
