Cienciano made the altitude of Cusco count with a 2-0 victory over Montevideo City Torque in the first leg of the 2026 Copa Sudamericana quarterfinals. Cristian Souza and Maximiliano Amondarain scored for the Peruvian side, while City Torque struggled with the demanding conditions at more than 3,300 meters above sea level.
