"Years before September 11, 2001, investigators were already tracking Khalid Sheikh Mohammed—the man who would become the mastermind behind the attacks. From an earlier plot to destroy passenger jets to a failed attempt to capture him in Qatar, warning signs emerged long before 9/11. Through firsthand accounts from FBI and CIA officials, investigators, journalists, and others close to the events, Road to 9/11 traces how the attack was conceived, how the hijackers prepared inside the United States, and how critical intelligence failed to reach the people who might have stopped them." #RoadTo911 Subscribe for more from The HISTORY Channel: http://histv.co/SubscribeHistoryYT Find out more about this and other specials on our site: http://www.history.com Check out exclusive The HISTORY Channel content: History Newsletter - https://histv.co/newsletter Website - https://histv.co/History Facebook - https://histv.co/Facebook Twitter - https://histv.co/Twitter “Road to 9/11” provides, fo
